My ministry

is a little, blonde head, blue/green eyed creature.

Tickling, being chased, and candy are among his favorite things.

He doesn’t like to be rushed, (especially after naptime)  green veggies (except for the ones on tv) and hates to be told “NO” about anything.

He finds a way to make the time in the day mostly about him and he’s okay with that.

When daddy comes home is when he is the happiest.

A kiss is all it takes to make any pain heal.

He repeats absolutely everything you say, good or bad.

He’ll tell you everything belongs to him. (mostly Mommy)

He just sat on my lap and told me that he was going to eat me and then proceeded to bite my face.

When he says, ” I Hove you” it makes your heart melt.

He is my son, God’s little HUNTER for souls. I forget all the time that God has placed him in our lives for this very time to minister to him and it is one of the most important ministries of my life. I’m writing this to remind myself of the absolute urgency of this ministry and to keep it fresh in my heart and mind.

Cram daily, because you leak.

I am reading a book right now by Dutch Sheets called, The River of God. I am only on chapter 3 but it is very good.

The end of chapter 3 stuck out to me so much that I  cannot stop thinking on it. In Ephesians 5:18 it says to “be filled with the Spirit. “It is a present imperative that is commanding us to CONTINUALLY be filled with the
Spirit.” He continues on and says, ” We have been Filled with his Spirit but we must STAY filled with His spirit” It made me think about how many days or how many times I have thought that I was filled with the spirit and doing just fine. I have to realize that it isn’t just a one time thing. It isn’t just my quiet time in the morning that is going to cut it. I have to continually (remember it’s a COMMAND) stay filled with the Spirit of God. I have to keep making the choice all day, week, year to be in the Word, worshipping Him, making my decisions based on what the Holy Spirit says. Dutch also mentions that he did a study on what filled means. Filled-To Cram. I love it! Have you ever had to cram a suitcase so full that you had to have about 5 people sit on it to get it zipped? That is cramming. I have to CRAM myself with Jesus daily.  Why do we need to do this? After speaking on this subject, Dwight Moody was asked why he needed to be filled and refilled with the Spirit. ‘That’s very simple,” said Mr. Moody, “I leak.”

I pray for followers of Christ to wake up each day and be filled with the Spirit. I pray that all day they continue to CRAM themselves with the Holy Spirit. I know I leak so I won’t go weeks on one revelation or word from you. I will cram you in my spirit daily, Lord.

AMEN!
