Writing me.

I left “home” and came “home”

This weekend Dave and I (along with Stormie and Tristan) were in New York ministering to about 100 young adults. God is so good and merciful and allows us to be His servants! His presence did some amazing things! Dave is staying in New York to minister to Youth Pastors for two days and I came back to Colorado to be with the little man, Hunter.

I’m here at my house, with my computer, my bed, my comfort and yet it is not home. I had this realization that HOME is the people you are with and not the place you are staying. My home is not this house, or Colorado even. My “home” is fast asleep beside me, my precious son. My “home” is my husband thousands of miles away in NY. My “home” is my family, my friends, the people that God has me serving, God is my HOME! I don’t have to be in this house to be home. My comfort and my home are found in God and in the people God has placed in my life!

“Where thou art – that – is Home. ”                                                                                                                                                            Emily Dickinson

“I have been very happy with my homes, but homes really are no more than the people who live in them”                                                                                                                                                                                                          Nancy Reagan

“Where we love is home, Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.”
Oliver Wendell Holmes

God, thank you for my “HOME” in you and in the people surrounding me. It’s good to be home.
